Position: National Sales Manager

Basic Function and Scope of the Position:

This is a leadership role where the incumbent would be responsible for managing the pan India team and ensuring annual corporate objectives are met for principle companies in India. This position focuses on exceeding targets and driving new opportunities in the India market, specifically in the genomics and proteomics market space.
The individual would be driving strategic growth planning programs to ensure channel partners are committing to strategic initiatives.
This position requires a high-level of cross functional leadership and organizational skills, creative and critical thinking and proven written and verbal communication skills. Major duties include: Monitoring and reporting on metrics and performance; Optimizing channel partner performance and execution and managing relationships with key stakeholders and opinion leaders.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement and monitor the territory plan to meet assigned objectives.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key opinion leaders and stakeholders.
  • Focus on developing, implementing and monitoring regular reviews and quarterly growth plans with assigned channel partner/s.
  • Coordinate and facilitate internal and external communication and engagement to ensure effective and consistent go-to-market strategy with channel partner/s.
  • Provide accurate forecasts as required and maintain data management diligence within internal operating guidelines.
  • Ensure Premas values and commitment to customer satisfaction is performed, delivered and consistently approved in the assigned territory.
  • Gain partner mind share and commitment and have the ability to work within multiple levels of channel partner/s organization.

Background and Experience Requirements:

  • BS or MS equivalent degree in Life Sciences; MBA or Ph.D. preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of the Indian Life Science market with a minimum of 10 years commercial experience in a relevant sector (genomics, flow cytometry and/or proteomics).
  • A minimum of 10 years channel management experience in the Indian market.
  • Experience with capital equipment and reagent sales strongly preferred.
  • Experienced in developing and implementing business development initiatives in India.
  • Ability to travel as required to carry out primary responsibilities (up to 60%).

Position: Territory Sales Manager

Basic Function and Scope of the Position:

Ensure achievement of territory sales objectives in line with the Company's mission. Control, organize and direct sales activities for brands like Illumina - NGS & Microarray, Covaris, Fluidigm, Genolution, ASKION, ACEA Biosciences through both strategic and tactical activities. Provide regular reports on status of specific sales, potential market opportunities and market conditions, and competitor activities.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Cover the target audience with effective product promotion
  • Achieve sales target for the territory for the respective product segment
  • Periodic education of customers on product and application updates
  • Key account management
  • Market intelligence with respect to projects, new customers and competitor activities

  • Good knowledge of Life Sciences, Cell Biology and Genomics market in respective region

Desired Skills::

  • Instrumentation Sales experience is preferred
