Basic Function and Scope of the Position:

Ensure achievement of territory sales objectives in line with the Company's mission. Control, organize and direct sales activities for brands like Illumina - NGS & Microarray, Covaris, Fluidigm, Genolution, ASKION, ACEA Biosciencesthrough both strategic and tactical activities. Provide regular reports on status of specific sales, potential market opportunities and market conditions, and competitor activities.

Role Description:

  • Cover the target audience with effective product promotion
  • Achieve sales target for the territory for the respective product segment
  • Periodic education of customers on product and application updates
  • Key account management
  • Market intelligence with respect to projects, new customers and competitor activities
  • Identifying key areas of growth in the territory
  • Relationships with KOL

Desired Candidate Profile:

Mandatory Skills:

  • Knowledge of DNA/RNA/Genomics/Cell Biology/ Flow Cytometry
  • Experience in Illumina,ASKION, ACEA Biosciences,Fluidigm, Covaris and other key cutting-edge product lines.
  • Good knowledge of Life Sciences, Cell Biology and Genomics market in respective region

Desired Skills:

  • Instrumentation Sales experience is preferred
  • Track record for Sales of high value Capital instruments in Genomics/Cell Biology/Proteomics/MDx

Position: Field Application Scientist
Location:  North
Experience:  2 years
Status: Open


  • Coordinating new installations, including facility inspections, instrument validation, and customer training.
  • Troubleshooting issues related to the user’s technical skills, biochemistry/assay design, experimental design, software, and instruments.
  • Developing and maintaining positive relationships with customers in assigned territory.
  • Helping to maintain and increase product usage, and supporting sales efforts through technical presentations and demonstrations.
  • Acting as a key contributor of customer feedback to marketing and product development teams.
  • Developing and improving key company processes that support our mission of building a world-class customer support organization.

  • At least 2 years of biotech experience preferred
  • Prior field experience supporting customers using sequencing or array technologies preferred
  • Demonstrated experience with next generation or high throughput sequencing sample prep technologies and protocols preferred
  • Demonstrated understanding of commonly-used sequencing data analysis software applications preferred
  • Demonstrated bioinformatics expertise and experience with handling and analyzing next generation sequencing or array data is a huge plus.
  • Outstanding problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated written and verbal communication and training skills
  • Excellent communication skills in English
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Must be willing to travel up to 50% of the time
